Complete Production and Manufacturing Process of Automotive Molds
Automotive molds follow a standardized complete process from design to delivery, including preliminary design, material preparation, rough machining, finish machining, heat treatment, assembly and commissioning, trial mold inspection, modification and delivery. In the design stage, professional design software is used for 3D modeling and structural layout to avoid forming defects in advance. Material preparation and rough machining finish basic cutting and grinding of steel materials. CNC equipment is adopted in finish machining to complete high-precision dimension processing. Heat treatment adjusts the hardness and internal metallographic structure of steel to improve wear resistance. After assembly, mold closing and commissioning are carried out, followed by actual material trial production to check product size, appearance and flatness. Defects found in trial production will be revised, and molds can be put into mass production only after all indicators meet standards.
