Accelerated Domestic Substitution of High-End Molds with Steadily Increasing Self-Sufficiency Rate

In recent years, the technical level of China’s automotive mold industry has continued to improve, accelerating the domestic substitution of high-end molds. Data for the first quarter of 2026 shows that the self-sufficiency rate of high-end automotive molds increased from 60% in 2025 to 75%, breaking the long-term monopoly of overseas enterprises in the high-end segment. In fields such as stamping molds and injection molds, leading domestic enterprises have gradually gained recognition from mainstream automakers with their technical accumulation and cost advantages, and their order share continues to increase. Meanwhile, industry concentration has risen steadily, with the market share of the top five enterprises increasing from 24.1% in 2023 to 28.7% in 2025, concentrating resources on enterprises with strong technical strength.
