Rising Penetration of New Energy Vehicles Fuels Rapid Demand for Integrated Die-Casting Molds
In the first quarter of 2026, the penetration rate of new energy vehicles in China continued to rise, driving a significant increase in orders for exclusive molds such as integrated die-casting molds and battery tray molds, with a year-on-year growth rate of 102%. The value of each set of such molds is relatively high, with the average price of a single set of integrated die-casting molds for battery trays exceeding 12.8 million yuan, reflecting higher technical added value compared to traditional fuel vehicle chassis molds. As the market scale of new energy vehicles expands, automakers’ demand for large, precision die-casting molds continues to grow, prompting mold enterprises to increase R&D investment and optimize mold structure and manufacturing processes to meet the production needs of lightweight and integrated new energy vehicles.
